Delivery service is in high demand during the epidemic as many residents prefer making online orders and getting food and other products delivered to them. Data showed that the courier sector is one of the earliest industries to resume operation.

During this special period of fighting against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), many deliverymen are stepping up delivery service to aid the nation's epidemic control and prevention efforts amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

"Me and my colleagues have been trying our best to serve the local citizens staying at home. In an effort to reduce the risk of infection for the customers and ourselves, we follow strict prevention and control measures, including taking body temperature checks, disinfecting the containers, providing non-contact services, etc. to ensure the safety of takeaways," said Purbu Tashi, a 27-year-old takeaway deliveryman in Lhasa.
